When is a new component compiled into core?

So there is this core component:

The feature of using a door/window sensor has been implemented in it for a good 2 weeks now, but it’s still not in 2023.1.5 update. When is it going to be included?

New features don’t get merged into point releases (there are exceptions to this, but they’re rare, very very rare).

The earliest it’s likely to be in a stable release will be 2023.2.0
