I pretty much have created all of my dashboards using Thomas Loven’s layout card add-on (love them).
After upgrading to 2026.11.0, when trying to log into my home page (using multiple layout cards) in Safari I get:
A problem repeatedly occurred with "homeassistant.local:8123/lovelace/Home.
This only seems to happen when have two of many put in the first position on the dashboard cards. When I have a more simple card (still using layout cards to an extent)
I can break away from it while HA is trying to load my home dashboard (with several layer cards). I frantically hit another side bar option to get to another screen (say settings). As soon as I go back to the Home dashboard, error comes back. Again, this is happening only on a dashboards leveraging layer cards.
This happens when I log in via homeassistant.local, or also using nabu casa to log in.
Here is the interesting thing. this is only happening on my personal account on my MacBook pro on Safari. If I log in via chrome, I don’t get that message. However, the same time the above problem started happening, on chrome, I am no longer able to log in to Home assistant using http://homeassistant.local:8123. (could be a coincidence, but started happening at the same time). btw, the chrome error is happening no matter where or how I log in.
What I did to try to fix it:
1 - cleared all cache and cookies on that instance of safari (no change)
2 - Restore my oldest version of HA backup which is from more than a month ago… (no change)
3 - tried logging in from same user account on a different Mac, through safari (does work).
4- tried logging in from a different user account on problem Mac through Safari (does work).
5 - changed the first dashboard on the list so it doesn’t go to my home screen (does work… and interesting)
Everything above is leading me to believe it is a cache or cookie issue on my mac’s personal account, but I keep clearing cache and cookies in Safari, and it still happens.
I’m baffled on both why this is happening on only this one account on my lay-out card dashboard
Also baffled with the Chrome issue where I can’t log into HA via http://homeassistant.local:8123, even though I have cleared cache and rebooted my router.
I realize there are two issues here, but since they started happening at the same time. I am wondering if they are possibly somehow related.
Would love any possible insight to these issues.
