When I set up ring bell notification automation which attaches picture in a notification and if you tap on the notification it will prompt you to open the URL (it’s local jpeg file from camera snapshot on home assistant storage). Once you open URL it will show picture. But you can’t go back - leave opened picture URL. There is no back button or anything similar except setting button to configure companion app.
Only possible solution I found to visit Home Assistant UI:
Switch to Mobile Data which will redirect from internal URL to external and HA will start to work.
If tou have multiple Home Assistant servers configured you can swipe right/left with three finges. By this you will leave stucked picture URL.
Re-configure whole App. It won’t help just killing the App.
Did anyone experienced similar issue? I can record this issue if you are curious.
I had this problem occur to me as well. My work-around, was to go to the companion’s settings, and there is a setting to remember the last page you were on, and I disabled this setting. Then restart the companion App.
Was really keen on doing this but its such a shame that you cant run the beta along side and have to in affect replace / remove the current stable and working version, maybe I should see if I can install on ipad but as my apps are linked between devices I am not sure that even this will get round my issue, I shall have to tell the wife I need a 2nd iphone for beta testing
