Basically I installed the newest version of Browser Mod by mistake and all v2 releases are buggy so had to downgrade to get things working again. None of the v1 versions were in the list of roll back options so I downloaded an old release from github and replaced the files manually. Everything now works again but HACs still thinks I’m on a v2 release.
Just curious where the information is stored?

HACS dose not store addons anywhere. It does not supply addons.
Third party integrations are stored in config/custom_components.

I wasn’t asking though where it stored the files but the VERSION info.
Like in a json file or database?
Each custom component has a manifest file with version info in it, not sure if that is what you are after?
No I don’t think it can be as replacing that file with an old one hasn’t ‘told’ HACS that the integration has been downgraded.
