Where should I rename entities? (Zigbee2mqtt or customize?)

Hi everyone,
I have a question that might sound a bit silly: I’ve read the best practices for naming entities. However, where do you usually do the “renaming”? Do you prefer to do it directly in “zigbee2mqtt” or do you use the YAML format in your "customize.yml.

I always rename the device in z2m. Never had any issues, just be sure to enable “Update Home Assistant entitiy ID”.

So, do you only use the UI to configure icons and friendly names?

Rarely touch friendly name or icon. I have a naming system that works well for me, and mostly stick to it.
