Since updating yesterday it seems like I have a memory leak on my Pi 5 installation. Restarting HA solves it, but it just keeps consuming memory. I’m not sure where to go to report it, or check to see if someone already has.
Assuming you updated the OS and not the core version:
In future, so that we do not have to guess, tell us which version you updated from and to.
I actually update both. They both came through at the same time.
However, a reboot of HA temporarily resolves the issue, as opposed to rebooting the Pi… pointing strongly at the core version. I didn’t want to complicate things.
EDIT - This was actually a question about where I go… I wasn’t expecting the issue itself to be addressed here.
Before we can tell you where to go we have to work out what is causing it.
Restart in safe mode and see if that fixes it. If so it is one of your 3rd party integrations (which are disabled in safe mode).
I can’t restart in safe mode. The unit is running my hot water and heating.
I would be grateful if you could point me to where I can see reported faults to see if this has been reported by someone else already please.
Oh, by the way, I have very little in the way of 3rd party integrations… deliberately. I have “Waste collection schedule”, “Atomic calender revive” and “Digital clock” … precisely because I’m aware that this is a unit I rely on, and I need it to be stable.
You only have to stay in safe mode for 5-10 minutes to check if the memory use is increasing. Then restart normally.
I’ve already linked the OS issue report location above.
Core issues are reported here:
Frontend issues here (unlikely to be this):
Third party issues are at each integration’s github repository.

Thanks very much. I’m in work at the moment so I’ll catch up tonight.
