Which Coral Accelerator is compatible with my intel nuc?

Did you already receive it?

Hi.
Any news about this matter?

Hello.
This weekend I have been doing some research on this issue and I have a bit more clarity , but still have some questions.
Are an M2 A+E Key device and an M2 E Key slot compatible?
Would the M2 E Key slot in my Nuc, which is factory-used for a wifi/bluetooth card, recognize a Google Coral TPU?
If the A+E key and E Key are not compatible, I would try to assemble a dual-edge Google Coral TPU. Would it work even if only one of the TPUs is used?

I own a NUC5i5RYH with Google Coral M.2 Accelerator B+M key (coral.m2-bm) with the following setup:

  • 4x cameras

  • 1280x720 @ 12fps

and I get 8.62ms Inference Speed

I was looking like you for a M2 compatible Coral Accelerator and as far as I remember, someone mentioned that only the single B+M key flavour is compatible

My NUC has an Intel Celeron N5105 processor.
Tonight, I set up the detector with OpenVino and the difference has been considerable. Inference has gone from 100-130ms to 20-25. My camera setup is similar to yours, except that I have them configured at 5fps. I will keep investigating, but OpenVino has been a significant improvement.
One question: What inference times did you have before installing the Google Coral TPU?

I remember it was something like 150-200ms

I have 3 cameras, usb coral, detecting at 960x540 10FPS with 7.46 inference. The USB version doesnt perform badly at all.
I have a dual tpu m.2 but its an E key and doesnt work for me. I have a PCI adapter coming, so we will see how that works in comparison.

If it is for wifi it is correct. I use a dual in the wifi slot. Only problem is if the nuc only use one channel on the m2. Then it will be a single not dual. I have an asus pn53.

Hi, I need some help! Iā€™m trying to find a Coral TPU for my Intel NUC8i5BEH, which has a M.2 M-Key spare expansion slot. This company is selling mini PCIe Coral TPUs for $28 each - which is a great price.

https://www.mouser.at/ProductDetail/Coral/G650-04528-01?qs=XeJtXLiO41RDsI9w8m%252Bkgg%3D%3D&_gl=1*1c1hapr*_ga*dW5kZWZpbmVk*_ga_15W4STQT4T*dW5kZWZpbmVk*_ga_1KQLCYKRX3*dW5kZWZpbmVk

Anyone know of a mini PCIe to M.2 M-Key adapter for my hardware? The other option could be a mini PCIe to USB but that seems more complicated. Iā€™ve struggled finding anything on Amazon.

Other useful info: Iā€™m running Home Assistant & Frigate in Docker container.

How did you solve this? Iā€™m trying to do the same.

I havenā€™t found a solution :frowning:

why donā€™t you buy the B+M key variant which is straightforward and doesnā€™t need any adapter?

The B&M Key version would be perfect but I just canā€™t find stock of that item anywhere in my region of the world. But Iā€™ve gone ahead and got the USB Coral Accelerator version, Iā€™m sure that will do just fine. Thanks for the tip though.
