Which firmware for Sonoff USB Dongle-E?

I have a Sonoff USB Dongle-E with EZSP firmware, which is obsolete.

Now I found two options: one is called Ember and the other seems to be Multiprotokoll called Multi-PAN with Zigbee and Thread.

Which one is recommended for an update? Can I use Multi-PAN (I currently don’t have Thread hardware) or should I go with Ember?

Have you looked at the Zigbee2MQTT support site? There are references to firmaware updates.

I used to have the Dongle-E too, but they gave me problems so reverted to Dongle-P instead which has been doing great. Just FYI.

It seems they have the same issues with Multiprotokoll as the HA Skyconnect dongle.

In this case I will use the Dongle-E only for Zigbee and because I have a Skyconnect I will use it for thread only, if I have devices with tread.
