Which HP T620 to use for HA - dual or quad core?

I see the HP T620 thin client is a popular choice for a new HA install.

I’m about to get one of these to use but was wanting to get some advice as to whether the dual core version was sufficient to run HA or should I spend more for the quad core CPU. Bearing in mind the quad cores are like twice the price of the dual cores I’d prefer not to spend more if it isn’t necessary (especially since I’ll also need a new SSD to replace the tiny supplied one) but happy to do it if makes a significant performance difference.

That much of a difference in price?!

I cannot really give you advice on the difference of 2 or 4 cores but I have seen numerous threads about the advantage of a RPi4 compared to a RPi3 and both are 4 cores.

Maybe someone else can give you a better answer.

I have a HA instance running on a HP T510 (dual core) and it runs fine. However, more is always better

Thanks - I will have a look, they are slightly smaller and newer as well. I think in the end I’ll go quad simply for a bit of headroom. Or even a 5070.
