Which LTE setup to choose for basement in apartment complex? (Raspberry Pi Setup, etc.)

Hi all,

We have a storage room in the basement of our apartment complex. It turns out that I have LTE reception with my phone there these days. So, I would want to have the following setup:

  • Raspberry Pi (3 or 4, tell me if there would be a difference) to consume sensor data
  • Multiple Aqara Zigbee sensors to give data
  • Ideally, Raspberry Pi treated as if it was in my native WLAN upstairs. So, either a VPN connection from the Raspberry or with a router
  • LTE-Router? -Stick?

I want to integrate those sensors into my normal Home Assistant instance. My (naive) thinking was that I could have the WLAN downstairs be treated as part of my normal WLAN and send/forward the MQTT messages from the Zigbee device to my Home Assistant MQTT instance.
