Which motor controller node for shutter / awning?

I just ordered new awnings.
I want to control these from HA.
I looked on Fibaro Roller Shutter (2nd edition) node, FGR-222. But this doesn’t seem to be Z-Wave Plus??
Feels stupid to buy non-Plus nodes. Or isn’t it?
I looked at Qubino Flush shutter - Gen5. This is Gen5/Plus. But i googled and read about people having problem with the calibration. Many people didn’t get it to work and the position bar never showed up.

I really need to set the position from a slider.

How do you guys do with shutters/awning with a 230VAC motor?

Using the Fibaro 2nd Gen. Just don’t get the 1st gen.

I am having some issues sometimes with the awning not responding on the first try. I set it up as a stateless switch so I can simply try again. Second try always successful.

Hi. Thank you for answer.
Is there any particular reason to choose Fibaro over Qubino?
If I understand thing right a z-wave non-plus in my network will affect the whole network. Today i only have z-wave plus nodes
It doesn’t seem “wife proof” with a node not responding on first try. How will this be with an automation? Somtimes it work sometimes it don’t? Is this with fibaro?

I have no experience with Qubino. Just wanted to share my experience with Fibaro 1st and 2nd generation. First is pretty bad, no calibration possible, no reset, no level.

Funnily enough, the automations always do seem to work. Not sure why since they are using the same template switch. I just send the open or close signal 3 times. It is not perfect I agree. But I am not sure the Fibaro is to blame. Could be the awning motor as well. It is prone to overheating.

Thank you for your advice.
I didn’t do as you said. I bought a Qubino Flush Shutter AC version.
I connected it and included it to my network.
It is working nice. Calibration was easy, when I use the wallswitch the position is reported to hass.
Time will tell if the node is stable over time.

Nice, hope you have a great experience with it!
