i have a gas stove that sometimes i forget to turn off. rarely though.
which MQ sensor can sense the stove is on with the blue flames lit? would MQ2 do it?
i already have a motion sensor in the kitchen. the automation would be something like if motion is off for 20 mins but gas stove is on then alert!
Not an answer to your query of a flame sensor, as I was never able to find a way to position a flame sensor in a cooking area that was reliable. So instead I went with placing a BLE temperature sensor up inside the cooking hood, I have another BLE temperature sensor in the human space of kitchen. Then I use a HA automation to compare the differences between the two temperatures and alert if the delta is above a set value for a period of time. Additionally, I have found the Shelly Gas sensors to be a good option to monitor natural gas concentration.
