Which Z-Wave Controllers do you recommend?

After many years on the sidelines and after 10 years if having Z-wave dimmers in the house and not controlling them, I’m ready to change that immediately. What Z-Wave controllers (or Dongles or Modules) do you recommend fir HA? Is there a clear winner in this space?

What’s the difference between a stick and a module? I assume all solutions are hardware.
