You may be able to creat a sensor that look in the ip_bans file and use automation to call script that removes it.

While possible, there are not many unavoidable circumstances where you ban your own IP. In many case if you do you can just switch to another WiFi or cell network to regain access. I’d be more concerned about whitelisting a bad ip. I haven’t thought through this so. Whats your concern with this?
