Who do we contact about moderator complaints?

I googled and searched this forum but was not able to find the information I am looking for.

Who do users contact if they have a complaint about a moderator blatantly breaking guidelines?

I’m not fond of having to lodge complaints but when I see moderators abusing their power and clearly breaking guidelines that would have administrative action taken against a regular user, I feel obliged.

The forum Administrators are listed in the About Page. The Community & Social Media Manager, Missy Quarry, would be the normal contact person for such issues.

You posted a bunch of off-topic irrelevant rubbish I cleaned up for clarity. But by all means have a chat to the community manager @MissyQ (who is on holiday at the moment).

That is purely subjective. I don’t see how linking a GitHub issue that shows watt spikes is “unrelated rubbish” when the topic was about those plugs reporting kwh spikes.

Beyond that, if the roles were reversed and it were I who responded with vulgarity and attitude towards you, what do you think the outcome of that would be?

My “off-topic” messages were direct replies to your aggressive messages, which I may add, were off-topic.

Unlist the topic and be aggressive all you want, I’m merely pointing out that your actions are against community guidelines.

I’m sorry that my attempt at pointing a user towards some useful data set you off, but that behavior should not be acceptable for a user, nevermind a moderator having a bad day.

Edit: I’m not going to argue with the very person I wish to lodge a complaint against, but I will respond to the “you didn’t even read it”. Of course I did, I did a cursory read and what I saw, sure seemed to be relevant to the user. After re-reading the GitHub issue, it still seems relevant to me.

How would you know?

You admitted you did not even read it.

And as I did read it, I can tell you it was completely unrelated to the topic.

The “rubbish” was mostly your “I was teaching them to Google” excuse when I pointed out that the post was unrelated.

I’m sorry if I offended you, but as you pointed out yourself the posts were getting off topic so I deleted them all (including mine) so as not to mess up the original topic.

Did you mean the code of conduct?

Please do report any breaches to the Community manager, but as I said she is on holidays at the moment so you may have better luck with one of the forum admins (see Drew’s link above).

No, I ment the community guidelines

Feel free to report breaches of that too.
