Who installed HomeKit integreation? Why do I need it?

I’ve got several items that work with other native integrations, Hunter Douglas blinds, LG TV and Ecobee. But yet, there are ignored homekit_controller integrations installed. I’ve set them to be ignored. There are no homekit_controller devices.

Why are they there? Can I disable them? Can I delete them, or will they simply re-create?

Homekit is a discovery protocol that Home Assistant listens for. Many devices have more than one way they can be discovered. e.g. Native and Homekit.

If you delete the discovered Homekit devices they will just be discovered again. Best thing to do is what you have already done, ignore them.
