Is anybody doing anything clever with a variable for WHO was last in the house?
Use case 1: my wife left the door unlocked today. I left the house at 07:00, she left at 09:00 and the verandah door was left unlocked. I got the message from HA saying the doors had been left unlocked but it would be handy to have sent that to her, so she could have quickly popped back to remedy.
I wrote an appdaemon script that lets me know who used the door last. But you’d have to run appdeamon and a few other apps resources that require it.
Essentially, You have to log who was in the house when a door was used.
My script isn’t sophisticated enough to know if it was me or her if we are both in the house. But it at least proves little things like this.
It doesn’t send notifications, nor do I have a door locking mechanism.
