Whole Home Lighting Control Switch Panels?

Hi all,

New to the Home Assistant game… looking at buying a place later this year and planning to do some renovations, including a whole home automation install.

I see how Home Assistant can pull a lot of devices together, but instead of a heap lighting dimmers and relays throughout the house, are there any recommended lighting switch panels. I see that Dynalite is supported, would this be the best / most economical hardware to use?

Regards,
Jay

For those of us who don’t know what dynalite is, what is it? What is the problem you are trying to solve?
I just googled and saw it was Philips so I’m quite sure it’s not the best, and not the cheapest.
Possibly the easiest. But I’m sure there are options if you explain what you are trying to do.

Hi, yeah I found Philips Dynalite switch panels which can control multiple lights from one unit.

So what I wanted to do was have a switch panel per room or zone in the house, rather than having an individual switches per light.

Is there a sender / receiver panel that could do more than one thing for more than one device (switch / dimmer / motion sensor), or is it just easier to buys multiple switches and sensors with their own WiFi/Ethernet/Bluetooth connection.

Not best, not cheap, not easy, nor most capable.
Philips Dynalite was not made to be user friendly installation wise, professional installer is the way to go.
I have it but i wouldn’t recommend it. On the other hand, not sure what should be recommended.
