Dropping off shouldnât be anything to worry about if youâre on the forums regularly.
Iâve been visiting practically daily for the past 4 years. Only decided to create an account last month so I could vote for the voice assistant projects.
Then I figured since I had an account, I might as well start posting & help people if I could. The only thing which delayed my badge was the 50 day requirement - all the rest just came naturally.
Just keep doing what youâre doing and youâll be fine. All you guys in this thread are pretty active and your posts have helped a bunch of people, myself included.
I know, I know ⌠but not only is it wrong, itâs the exact opposite of what you actually mean!
All the best,
Pedant
just to be pedantic: itâs not the exact opposite
Grumble
If you have a point, it was lost on me. I missed it.
I try to carefully say exactly what I mean and at the displeasure of others, often go back and edit my remarks should they look confusing when I read them back.
Today I was promoted to âRegularâ (and Iâm not talking about my daily constitution ).
I was very surprised and humbled. I owe a lot to many of you on this forum who I consider light years ahead of me on your HA technical knowledge and your dedication. Thank you!
Welcome
I think HA kindah need more regularsâŚ
Out of 227696 registered users, we now have 43 regulars (~0.02%)
Agree 100%
Arenât 43 bad enough?
It was 48 just a few months ago. The Cookbook should eliminate all Regulars
The more the merrier, but I was liking the number 42, you know, because itâs the answer to everything.
i think what @aceindyâs really saying is that we need better ones⌠so therefore itâs good to have @MaxK nowâŚ
Flattery will get you everywhere
43, of course, is a prime number. [Cue X-Files music]
Re: new release. Am I right in thinking that an automation (or whatever) can only be in one category? Thatâs a bit disappointing. Some of mine are in three or four.
Yep categories are exclusive. Labels are not. Im quickly developing strong preference for labels.
Ah yes, labels definitely better. Still it seems a bit clumsy - all those filters and checkboxes, and only two of the labels are actually displayed. Itâs probably fear of the new, but so far I prefer embedding tags in names - that works for automations, scripts and helpers.
Let me help you⌠Thereâs a template function to very easily return all members of a label.
You can build a label for literally any reason.

There ya go.
