Remember that link points back hereā¦
Forgot all about thatā¦ derp.
It killed the link flag as well, so good to know.
Weāll have to figure out an alternate way to do a linkā¦

Alright, if you want to do a stealth link, you can use the:
It looks like it puts single quotes around it, will have to copy-paste it to make it show, but it doesnāt tie the link back here.
I wikiāed this post so you can see it in the edit screen.
That is not back-linked to here.
You have no idea how much I appreciate you. lol
I was the one that pulled that other person in here that way, so passing on the knowledge.
Big mistakes are hard to forget.
I know the cows have left the building, but I did just close that particular barn door that way just now.
Eh, poop happens.
Fascinating animation here, if you havenāt seen it already. The development of HA 2013-2021.

Might answer a lot of questions for the next oneā¦
On 2015.02.05 thereās a Big Bang moment that turns the project into a beehive. Things grow exponentially leading to another explosion on 2019.02 when it becomes a full on binary system. Ending with an apparent stabilization starting on 2021.01, when thereās just so much activity that itās all a couple of frantically shinning suns.
Very cool (although I canāt say I completely understand it)
Isnāt there supposed to be a āprivate lounge areaā for Regulars which would avoid this, or is the cake a lie?
āsupposedā is the correct word.
Itās mentioned in the badge description but I donāt think it is enabled.
This has come up before. Is is wise to give this bunch of hoodlums a private space to lurk in?
I should never be allowed in private spaces.
Also i wonder, I dont get more āLikesā per day, sometimes i donāt get any, for days !
Glad to know Iām not going mad. Been searching around every corner of this forum trying to find this elusive lounge area before I asked here.
Despite completely agreeing with Billās comment above, I still feel it would be a good idea to have this enabled. Iād rather not tag people unnecessarily, but who would be in the best position to look into this?
Because people by nature take the easiest path trying to have someone give them the answer instead of first trying to figure it out by themselves. And who hasnāt been a sinner of this? Pair that to a constant stream of new users (which is good) and you get an endless supply of the same basic questions being asked again and again.
Back in the day I worked in a specialized enterprise IT support dept. that you could call only if you had been trained and had an up to date certification in our software, which required medium-advanced knowledge in many areas. Yet, we constantly got āspecialistsā calling for help in the most basic stuff and even nonsensical general IT queries like āOf the .iso and .md5 files you sent me which one has the installer?ā or āI double clicked the file app.config and Windows is asking me to install Visual Studio in order to open it.ā
Although surely no one that ventures in HA can have that level of incompetence.
I think it will happen.
Be patientā¦
They are awesome at listening and problem solving.
Remember they are dealing with all the social media. Facebook, Discord, Reddit, Here. And we are pretty much keeping the fires down, so we are not first on the list.
Wouldnāt you rather they take the time to see what is working and what is not before wholesale changing stuff we might like. Because Iām sure change is coming on all the platforms.
(And itās about time there was a plan, so Iām all inā¦)
Agreed, which is exactly why I didnāt want to tag anyone. I figured that person is already part of this thread and that theyād get the hint I was referring to them.
Where this request lies in their list of priorities is up to them, no pressure at all.
