I’m with @Sir_Goodenough, it saves time and nerves. Better invested in people, that really are looking for help.

At least with ESPHome you’re usually dealing with DC.

It’s actually kinda funny. All my ceiling fans reversed out of blue because I forgot that I setup an automation that reverses them based on the season (reverse mode for winter and forward for spring, summer and fall). I was ready to yank them all down until I looked in HA and was like "duh!!!”

I have recently seen a lot of: “Help, I just installed HA but I can’t get to ip_address:8123”

Some seem to be simple RPi initial installs while others are more complex VM installs.

There seems to be no pattern and some have not been resolved. I would like to do a “how to” troubleshooting guide but it seems there are way too many variables. And I’m guessing network issues (misconfiguration) may be the root cause of most of these.

Thoughts?
