Why can’t I find the /config/.storage/ folder?
What are you using to try to view it?
The “.” makes it a hidden folder and you will need to “show hidden folders” in whatever application you are using to try to view them.
Make a backup before messing in .storage. It is not supposed to be user editable and has the potential to completely stuff your system.
It’s a hidden folder, you’ll need an addon or separate PC that has the ability to access and view hidden files/folders.
Why are you trying to access this location?
I’m doubling down on this from Tom.
If you are asking how to get there, you very likely shouldn’t be changing anything in there…
I hope you are up on your JSON skills. (And AI will likely get you in deeper, don’t use it)
But also … Home Assistant uses Docker (for itself plus addons). The File Editor addon runs in a Docker Container which has a different “view” of the file system. In addons, the “/config” folder is “/homeassistant” (generally). And yeah, it’s pretty unusual to be accessing that folder - it’s hidden for a reason.
