Why does Alexa not get light status right?

I have HA configured to work with Alexa on PC. Alexa sees the devices fine, but a couple of devices, it doesn’t seem to have the status correct. It still shows a couple of outside lights as ON. HA shows them as OFF. Why would Alexa not get that right?

Also, it takes Alexa a long time to determine if devices are even online or offline. It sounds like something is messed up.

Try the update command for Amazon Alexa. The same happens with me on occasion and it usually works.
“Alexa, Discover New Devices”

Ok, will give that a try.

Didn’t make a difference. Alexa determined what looked like the right status for 39 devices, but said one was offline, when it wasn’t. Oh well.
