Why does my hassio rpi keep hanging up

My hass.io has been running fine on my pi for a few months. Lately it started hanging.

I dont have a screen connected to it. I can see its lights on so I know its not powered off. Both the red and green LEDs. But when I decide to go to the UI home the browser doesnt find it. Then I ping the IP and its not there either. Today I unplugged the ethernet cable to it and it after plugging it back in and waiting 15-20 minutes, no ping response still. I have to unplug the power and back in order to get it to work.

I looked in the Developer Tools, Info tab but the system log file only shows from the moment it booted back up. How can i view log files for the moment up to which it hung?

After months of this type of problem, it turned out that I had too many add-ons competing for memory and thus sometimes one would hang to allow another to work, which would then kill the whole shabang basically.

Could it be resources on your system?

How could I tell? What log files do I look at?
