Why does my Shelly EM keep losing connection? RSSI is better than another Shelly EM?

I have a Shelly EM controlling a contactor for my water heater. It IS in the metal box. RSSI is 78.

My dryer has the exact same device, that RSSI is much worse, 46. Yet my dryer shelly never losses connection. My water heater on the other hand…

Think maybe the device itself is flaking?

So it appeared to be the contactor failing. The contactor, while being controlled by the shelly was also powering the Shelly. Replaced the contactor and havent had issue.
