Why don’t we have integrations with Switchbot that “just work”? Their products are ubiquitous and work well in Switchbot’s ecosystem. Why isn’t there an integration that “just works” with Switchbot products?
The solutions I’ve come across so far all require some amount of detailed configuration, diving in to YAML or learning about MQTT and ngrok… all well and good for niche products. But Switchbot is all over the place and they offer an API! I shouldn’t have to get tweaky.
What switchbot products do you have that don’t easily integrate? I have curtain, bot, and outdoor temp, all Bluetooth connected via Bluetooth proxy and they all were auto discovered.

I am trying to integrate both the Evaporative Humidifier and the Meter Pro CO2.
The SwitchBot Bluetooth integration does not pick up the Meter Pro. In the same room I have Shelly Plus Plugs acting as a Bluetooth gateway set to “Active” mode but they do not recognize the meter. They do pick up other Bluetooth devices.
None of the integrations I’ve tried pick up the humidifier… SwitchBot Bluetooth (expected) or SwitchBot Cloud (which was surprising, I expected this to show both devices since they are in the SwitchBot App).
I’ve resorted to manually configuring access to the SwitchBot API, which has been time consuming and frustrating. (And also isn’t fully functional, partially due to my limited knowledge of coding and APIs and partially due to the API).
Have you read this discussion about the Meter Pro? Looks like it was just added to HA within the past month or so, and may require you to delete anything previously discovered, but it appears to work now over bluetooth.
The evaporative humidifier — which is still pretty new — appears to be a WiFi device (bluetooth is only used for setup), similar to SwitchBot’s plugs and bulbs (which are both esp32 inside, incidentally). There’s a 9to5mac article and a YouTube video explaining how to add it HA using Matter but only if you have the SwitchBot Hub 2 (which is SwitchBot’s limitation, not HA’s). Sometimes these things just take time to be fully integrated.
Personally, I flashed all my SwitchBot WiFi plugs and bulbs with Tasmota which integrates with HA fully locally, even with Matter, without the Hub 2. They were the easiest devices I’ve ever flashed thanks to switchbota.
