Support for Switchbot Meter Pro

Hey, I just picked up a Switchbot Meter Pro and was hoping to get it added in Home Assistant via Bluetooth much like the other meter devices.

Thanks in advance,
Adam

Same. Not sure how to go about trying to get it added to help the integration unfortunately. I also will have the CO2 sensor soon as it just shipped and I’m willing to be that won’t work either.

Just added the CO2 monitor and it was detected as a light strip.

I have the pro co2 version and some programming experience, so willing to help out with this if someone has some pointers to get me started

I am in the same boat. I have some programming experience, but I don’t know where to start with this.

Same here.
I have also connected it via matter, but only temp and humidity are passed via Matter… :frowning: So either Switchbot has to expand the matter-messages or HA has to implement the device in the BT-integration.

This is in progress: Add Meter Pro support to SwitchBot by bdraco · Pull Request #128991 · home-assistant/core · GitHub

I worked with someone who can add it into core. By supplying my data after some testing, I was able to see how it came over BT, it was added and hopefully will be in the next HA release.

Indeed - updated and all working as expected

I WONDERED WHAT THAT WAS - I just got a Switchbot PRO last week and later discovered THIS in HA… Lightstrip 5D86 - model WOSTRIP. Didn’t twig it also said Switchbot… So I have HA (Docker container) 2024.11.1 - ie bang up to date - any idea how to make that appear as the CO2 monitor?

What should I update to be able to add the Switchbot Meter Pro to HomeAssistant? I have the latest HomeAssistant Core (2024.11.1) installed, but the device is getting detected as a light strip.

@saeedesmaili i have the same problem by the homeassistant from my father but on my homeassistant which has the same Core Version the device is getting detected as Meter 317E and all is fine.
Does anyone have a solution for this?

What about Switchbot Cloud? I see the hub and my Outdoor Meter in HA (Core 2024.11.2), but not the Meter Pro.

Thanks!

@Inny
Hey, how did you get this integrated please?

I have purchased 2x SwitchBot Meter Pro (CO2 Monitor) (not having any SwitchBot Hubs) and tried to add it to my Homeassistant instance running latest builds:
*** Core2024.11.3**
*** Supervisor2024.11.4**
*** Operating System13.2**
*** Frontend20241106.2**

However it is still turning up as Light Strip!? Now way I can see the BE30, Carbon dioxide and/or Humidity values in Homeassistant.

What am I missing here!?

I am running it on the raspi5 and my switchbot co2 meter was now a light strip :upside_down_face: I am using the onboard Bluetooth from the raspi5

Its the first co2 meter at a level at 55€ and able to connect wireless with bluetooth. Other co2 meters are at the level of >100€

But until now its a light strip…

Hi @gessi, seems to me like you are on the right version. I had the same issue initially. If it detects and is added as a light strip, delete it and give detection another go. Maybe it needs some encouragement.
Around the same time I added a bluetooth proxy (M5Stack ATOM Lite) to my setup which is REALLY easy to set up by the way. But I think I already had it running before then. Hope this helps.

Hi, I deactivated passive scanning at the raspi5 onboard BT. I deleted a old not used/disconnected USB-BT adapter, i delete the switchbot. New device found. And than the meter was correct recognized
