I currently make the rooms of my house into areas so I can take actions on them using automations. But I also want to be able to create an automation that turns on all lights “upstairs” or “downstairs”. I can’t do that because those can’t be areas currently since they consist of other areas, not other devices. I can’t make a parent area that groups other areas, I can only put devices into areas.
Would be great to be able to make parent areas that group other areas instead of only grouping devices.
