We are building a small board that allows easy plug in of our IR Emitter and IR Receiver products to a ESP8266. We’ve got the final board and case out for production, but in the meantime we have a bunch of breakout boards built up we used for software development. They are exactly the same as the final version, but house a wemos d1 mini. It doesn’t fit in the case, but maybe good for projects. I posted a few details to our twitter page and will get full details up on our webpage soon (or I can email them)
The device supports post esphomeyaml and the ESP8266 IR project which both integrate with home assistant very nicely.
If you are interested in playing around with one of these boards before we get the final version with case let us know and we’ll get one out to you for basically our cost.
If you are a home assistant developer and want one also contact us and we’ll see if we can get you one free.
When we have the page up with the final version and case I’ll post some more info. There is some preliminary info on our twitter feed as well.
The customer we originally designed this for had two applications in mind: control some infrared blinds and control an infrared air conditioner.
