I have an android phone with the Companion App installed. The Companion app is set to maintain Persistent Connection “On Home Wifi Only” so that it will use the local wifi to send messages when I am at home.
My home wifi is a mesh network (Orbi). When I move to one of the two satellite AP nodes, HA is fine, it maintains connection. But when I move from one of the satellite nodes to the main router node, the HA Companion app almost always loses the connection to the HA server. All other apps on the phone are fine, I can browse internet, and connect to other servers in my home network, it is just HA that loses the connection, and only when moving from a satellite to the main router node.
If I have the phone screen on when I move from satellite to the router node, then this issue does not occur, the HA Companion App maintains connection.
Is there anything I can do on my Orbi router, or the Galaxy S24 phone, or the Communion app so that this disconnection does not happen? Note that this happens on a Note 9, a Note 20 and an S24 phone.
Is there a specific log, either on the Companion app of the HA server that can help me diagnose why this disconnection happens?
Thanks for help and ideas.
