is there a recent list of wifi plugs i can use without the cloud?!
i was going for tuya clones + tasmota but now seems that the new tuya firmware can’t be replaced…
(EU plugs)
thanks

I use the TP-Link Kasa Smart HS110 (older model) and KP115 power plugs (energy monitoring models) which connect via Wi-Fi.
They work with the TP-Link Kasa integration. No need to open the device and/or reflash its firmware.
When configuring you will need to install the Kasa app on your smartphone - but you DO NOT need to setup and use a cloud account per How to make Kasa smart devices controlled local only | TP-Link Australia
Ok, now it seems like there was an user error
Wifi network I tried to connect the KP115 was not available in place where I was trying to carry out configuration. As the wifi was not available, KP115 reverted its settings to default ones, which is feasible.
When the KP115 was put in coverage of correct wifi, configuration was carried out without any problems with python script.
Wonder why there are no Shelly ones listed yet
Likely supported by native Shelly Integration, however it offers built-in mqtt client I strongly advise.
There are two: with 10A and 16A limit.
update: i’m using tuya plugs with original firmware and tuya official + local tuya … no need to use tasmota anymore
Hi Pietro,
Would you care to share which Tuya plugs (15A-16A ?) you are using successfully ?
sure…
Thx for the information, Pietro.
