Should I use wifi switch(esp8266 chip) or RF switch for home?

IT all comes down to preference. I had both and personally like the wifi stuff with MQTT.
RF has its merits and shouldn’t be discounted as well. Theres really nothing wrong with either one.

And don’t forget about combined RF and WiFi ones (Sonoff RF) that give you option to control it with RF signal or mqtt commands and also allow to get its state (on/off) which is impossible with RF-only device.
So I’d way it’s all down to your project’s requirements
