I have an ESP32 and a D1 Mini V4. Will placing either of these boards too close to the SCD30 temperature sensor affect its readings? I’m designing a compact housing, possibly stacking the components, but I’m wondering if it’s better to keep the sensor and boards separated.
Yes, keep the sensor as far from the ESP as possible. ESP could be at 60C.
I find putting the sensors on the outside of the box works fine, just don’t put the board where it touches the side you have put the sensor on. I 3d print my enclosures and give the board a bit of space in the box. I tend to use DHT22’s on a board and just make a hole for the sensor to go through, and use its board to hold it in place.
