Window Open – Climate Off (Extended)

This is an extended version of the great blueprint by @SmartLiving.Rocks.
Full credit for the original concept and implementation goes to them — I’ve built on top of it to add more control over what happens when the window closes again.

What’s new compared to the original?

The original blueprint always restores the previous climate state after closing.
These blueprints let you decide what happens:

Blueprint 1 – Restore Mode (simple)

Turns off the climate device when a window opens. When closed, choose between:

  • Restore previous state — restores HVAC mode, temperature and preset from before
  • Switch to auto — sets HVAC mode to auto

Open your Home Assistant instance and show the blueprint import dialog with a specific blueprint pre-filled.

Blueprint 2 – Advanced Mode & Temperature Control

Extended version with full control:

  • Restore previous state — restores everything as before
  • Set specific mode — choose the HVAC mode (heat, cool, heat_cool, auto)
    • When not using auto, also control the temperature:
      • Restore saved temperature (from before opening)
      • Set a fixed target temperature
      • Leave temperature unchanged

Open your Home Assistant instance and show the blueprint import dialog with a specific blueprint pre-filled.
