Wired radiator valve + multiple temp sensors + Switch Module project

Hey everyone, I will like to share my thoughts hopping suggestions.
I’m installing radiator heating at my house. I a complete new system. It includes 13 radiators so I was thinking to get 13 wired (wax) radiator valves. 4 units of 4 gang switch module to control them. Also multiple temp sensors.
I rather have this configuration because is cheaper and (I believe) more reliable than any TRV I have seen on the web.
Any suggestion or consideration for the project?

HI
I have very similar setup on 4 radiators in a zone. My only concern was that when it first turns on it takes about 3mins to open fully and during this time your pump may be pumping water round a smaller circuit that it’s probably setup to pump round with all the radiators open. I use a mixture of TRVs in the heating zone which the valve will always be open to some extent. One radiator is always open full as an emergency circuit. They work very well in radiators with covers and are hidden. TRV didn’t work very well with radiator covers.

Good observations!

Hi!

Did you continue with your project? How was your experience?

Hey!, I havent done it yet. I plane to do it though.

There is one of mine using a sonoff mini with Tasmota inside a ABS case with glands for strain relief. It’s behind a sofa so can’s normally be seen. Have 4 of them running with no problems so far.
