I bought this kit a while back for another project and out of curiosity as I was redoing the security on it I decided to add it to my WiFi network, what I found was most curious is that it comes up as an Apple TV 3 device when discovered by HA and only has the option to cast Apps when selected in the media section list.
I already fixed the typo after I saw it heh.
It also got added to the Cast list under the name of the SSID it comes with that can’t be changed, only the passphrase can be changed in the settings but its display name to devices can be updated as needed in its settings.
Thought I would share this little discovery for others looking at this and other similar Wireless HDMI Kits.
