Wireless RF Alarm Sensors

Is there a way to integrate wireless alarm systems with home assistant? I work tech support for an alarm company and I know that the three main RF frequencies that wireless sensors use are 345mhz (Honeywell and 2gig), 319mhz (GE and Qolsys), and 433mhz (DSC).

I’m looking for something similar to Konnected but for wireless systems. There are translators that can translate the previously mentioned frequencies to match another frequency (example: you have 3 Honeywell sensors and 2 GE sensors. The translator can translate the GE sensors to 345mhz to match Honeywell).

A few possible solutions I’ve found are a RFXrtx433E which translates 433mhz to z-wave. But I’m not sure if this works with alarm sensors. It seems like it’s mostly geared towards ceiling fans. Another possible solution is a Bond Bridge. But that’s a similar story to the first solution.

I’ve heard good things about the Sonoff RF bridge, but can’t find anything confirming that this will work with any of the sensors I mentioned before. Has anybody had success getting this to work without paying a monitoring fee with a security company? If so, can you guide me through how to do this.

My recommendation is to just use an alarm system for the alarm. They are pretty stout, purpose made devices that can stand alone and still perform their work. They can also be interfaced with home assistant with an envisalink card or similar.
I diy a lot of stuff, but the cost difference wasn’t worth it to me when it came to time spent doing all the diy, worrying about the reliability and so on.

Envisalink only works for wired systems. I’m asking specifically about wireless systems.

Most of my sensors are wireless. You could use all wireless if you wanted to.
I have a DSC, but honeywell has systems that would work as well.

Interesting. What kind of panel do you have? Is it a powerseries? Or is the panel integrated into the keypad?

The power series 1864. Also a keypad that has a wireless receiver built in. I did wire in some zones like a motion sensor that is close to the panel and a relay to tell me when power is on/off. Then the envisalink.
Mine is a 3 and works just fine for me. Current model is a 4.

So Envisalink will also pick up sensors that are learned into the keypad. Interesting. I’ll have to try that out.

Envisalink does not care how the signal gets to the panel, whether it is wireless to the keypad/transceiver or wired to panel/expander. It talks to the panel, and the panel reports the zone status back through the keypad bus.

There is also a project on the forums to intercept the keypad bus from the keypad/transceiver to provide better response times for Honewell sensors, since the panel can be very laggy reporting the zone restoration status updates.

A software defined radio can intercept the signals for any of those sensors, but I do not know if that works when they are in high security mode, and there is no way in hell I am using anything else for an alarm system.
