Wiring of M5Stack Mini Infrared Emitter & Receiver Unit and Atom Lite

Dear all,

I bought the M5Stack Mini Infrared Emitter & Receiver Unit.

Now I attached it to the M5stack Atom Lite. According to the sticker, I would assume that one needs to connect the “white” line with a TX pin and the “yellow” line with the RX pin, see the image.

For some reason I do not understand, I have to switch the TX and RX lines to get the device working. Can somebody confirm? I also try to get help in the M5 community, but there is generally litte response.

Thanks and best wishes,
Tobias

From the look of the circuit diagram, the ir transmitter is connected to the output pin on the Grove connector.

@nickrout: I totally agree. So from here, white needs TX and yellow needs RX. According to the Atom Lite pinout, this would mean pin 32 is TX and pin 26 is RX.

Contrarily, this is the configuration I need to get any IR readings. Transmission basically work, but with very low distance (up to 1m) only:

remote_receiver:
  pin:
    number: 32
    inverted: true
  dump: raw

remote_transmitter:
  pin: 26
  carrier_duty_percent: 50%

Can anyone resolve this? I don’t want to damage the device…
