Withings integration shows values that are off

Hi all,

I am having a bit of a weird issue with the latest 0.112 release, and was wondering if anyone else is observing the same.

I’ve been using Withings integration with my blood pressure monitor and body scale for a while now. Since the latest 0.112 upgrade the entities first got duplicated, the first set of entities ending up disabled. That is all right, but the really strange thing is the values that the integration is now providing are weirdly off. They are on the right ballpark but provide a value which is off and does not update. I could not for the life of it figure out where in history I would have these exact measurements.

Removing the integration and readding it provides the exact same false values. Any clues on how to debug this? Deleting the app from Withings and recreating would be one option, but the deletion request takes 7 days to proceed.

you are not alone. I think it’s broken. It doesn’t update anymore too. Maybe related to the change to config profile via UI. It doesn’t matter what Name i type for Profile, i end up with the same values every time.

probably don’t work / issue already reported → Incorrect weight data in Withings integration · Issue #37321 · home-assistant/core · GitHub

I am having exactly the same problem with 0.112.
I have also tried creating another dev-account, that didn’t change a thing…

Thanks all. Thinking of it, should have probably created a bug directly instead of writing here.

… And this is fixed in 0.112.1. I don’t understand how yiu guys pull this off - if this was commercial software I would have had to wait for a fix for a looooong time. Great job!

Hi Henrik,
I’m thinking of getting a blood-pressure cuff to track readings. Do you recommend Withings? If so, what model?

Thanks,
~Bryan

Hi,

Yes - I would definitely recommend Withings in general and their BPMs in specific. I am on my second model (had the previous for years but it was wired and I switched from iOS to Android). The ‘BPM Connect’ is really easy to use, connects via Bluetooth or even Wifi and integrates nicely with HA.

There is also a more advanced model with some really fancy analytics but I think the price was more than double of this.

Thank you Henrik.

Hey there. I’m assuming this is the model will work with the integration? Do I need to setup a Bluetooth proxy ( esp home) since my ha device is in the opposite side of home where I will be using the bpm mostly?

Yes and it’s wifi. The integration pulls from withings cloud.

ok. Thanks for the reply. I noticed the app has a subscription plan. Do we need a monthly plan to have data logged to HA or the free version will do?
