WIX Bulbs and Spots

Just wanted to pass on that it seem the WIX version of the Lutron line up does pair right up with Home Assistant if you first install the WIX integration. I have two spots paired now that I’m playing with. The process is multi-step but easy, first you pair the single (or multiple) bulb(s) up to the WIX app on an iPhone, iPad etc. At the end of that process the bulb it then on your WIFI and will get discovered by Home Assistant inside the WIX integration. The only thing I don’t like is you can’t custom name them so it’s a little challenge but they work in simple on/off stuff and automations including using color/temp settings. Just purchase 8 of the standard bulbs for $50, pretty good deal, found them on EBAY.

Short update - The standard size bulbs came in, got 4 setup and they work great. About 2200 kelvin looks perfect for our country home, they look very incandescent, my wife is happy. Again, don’t like the lack of naming flexibility in the WIX integration but I can deal with that. That’s what you see in HA and you need to open each one to find the one you want.Screenshot 2023-01-31 at 3.58.14 PM

Well a problem has come up - If the lamp of socket you install these in has a wall switch or can be powered down in any way that’s a problem. If power is cut to these in any way (including a power outage) the white arrow seen in the image above will turn into a red circle. If power is restored quickly all is good but if power remains out for a while the bulb will disappear from the WIZ Home Assistant integration and you need to start all over. Not great.
