WLED not adding devices

When installing new devices and adding to HA, WLED adds all the entities, but doesn’t add a device. Display is old and the others are new adds. I click “add device” it’s comes up with the correct name and I submit. This is what I get:

A device is just a way for integrations to collect entities into a group.
It is up to the integration to decide if it will create a device.

For the user a device should not be important and if it is there it should actually be avoided.
Use the entities instead.

Why and how to avoid device_ids in automations and scripts

Background When you start writing automations, a device trigger seems the obvious choice. Everybody knows what a device is and it comes at the top of the UI dropdown list. So, they did eventually show up after a few restarts doing other things. Same dev boards. Not sure why they didn’t show as devices right away. Went on to other things and got back around to the automations that I wanted to do and there were the devices. Bizarre. It took a few restarts and about 10 minutes before they appeared.
