I have used web.esphome.io to setup a couple of C6, but I have two that just don’t want to start. I can “prepare for first use” ok, but then they won’t boot and stop (see log).
Has the ‘prepare’ bootloader actually succeeded?
From my recollection, you have to use three hands, stand on one leg and face Mecca for some of the el-cheapo Chinese C6 boards.
Check ypu have the correct sequence of button push and hold at power on to go into programming mode for your board.
Good thought. The prepare step finished successfully on all of them (2 other new C6 and an older model, plus to two that aren’t working).
The previous two new C6 worked without pressing button, but I did try various hold/press/release on the boot and other button with no luck.
The 4 new ones all came from the same source in the same box too
