Wordpress Intranet

During Helene last year I discovered I needed to make a change. I ran a wordpress instance on isp and a copy on my homelab that held all my manuals and critical references. Helene took out electricity, water, internet and with it my wordpress reference library.

The only thing that kept rolling on was my homeassistant yellow and all those addons. I had music and all sorts of other stuff but no wordpress reference site. How do you fix a generator with no manual?

So what i have been trying to do is load a small instance of wordpress as a homeassistant addon. I have found ways to link homeassistant to external wordpress but no way to create a wordpress intranet on my yellow. One of the few things that remained up. Can anyone that knows more than me help?
Thanks
Wallace

Hello Wallace Shealy,

Ability to configure container target path for custom Addon (Such as WordPress) maybe?

Or Apache on HassOS - #16 by FaserF

And this has a wordpress Docker configuration, changing it to an addon should be pretty easy… GitHub - awesome-selfhosted/awesome-selfhosted: A list of Free Software network services and web applications which can be hosted on your own servers

I guess I’m not clear on what Wordpress brings to the table. I’ve used it for web site design, and it’s pretty handy. I have nothing against it.

But, if you have a manual library, why not just share that? I’ve got a number of directories on my NAS where I keep manuals. Most of them are just .pdf files. I back them up to my laptop and my phone. Nothing beats being able to pull up a manual on my phone while crawling around in the engine room. Except maybe being able to pull up the Amazon app and order the part I need right there.
