I am not sure if this has been requested before and I am not even sure how an Open Source project would go about getting certification, but I was wondering if it would be worth approaching Google for official Works with Google/Nest certification.
This, in theory, would allow for an official path to integrate NEST products into Home Assistant.
I found myself wondering the same thing. I imagine it costs money to pay for an audit. Maybe nabu cars only for a while. The personal DIY option google promised will probably be the first thing to show up here. Via a custom component or late night HA present.
I have the same wish. It would be very nice to integrate Google Nest products like the thermostat again.
Anyone else notice this show up under HA Cloud?
I have noticed that. I think it is only for Googles Voice Assistant.
It doesnât seem to integrate to Nest, unless I am missing something
Once individual access launches I expect someone will make a new HA integration. I would really like to have my thermostat in HA but arrived late to the partyâŚ
Yeah itâll be interesting to see how much access Google gives.
Iâd love faster video than this public sharing feed. Itâs like 8 seconds behind.
Home/Away
Person Detection
Doorbell Pushes are what I really want though.
migrated my Nest account to Google, now not able anymore to see my thermostat in home assistant
Some updates about this program : https://developers.google.com/nest/device-access
Individual access is open ! The API access cost 5 dollars one time.
