WS2811 Controller to work with HA? (Ideally Zigbee and deConz)

I have some individually addressable LED’s.

What hardware controller do I need to interface with them and allow HA to control? Ideally Zigbee, and i’m using deConz if that matters, but i’m sure a few wifi things would be ok, i’m just trying to keep my wifi noise free.

I can see things like this on Amazon.

Firstly this is wifi and secondly i’m not sure what integration or what I would need to do to make it work. Although it is cheap, so i’m tempted to just buy it and see :stuck_out_tongue:

Suggest an esp8266 module. You can then load code from esphome platform or something like bruh: https://github.com/bruhautomation/ESP-MQTT-JSON-Digital-LEDs.

Yeah i did come across that. Its marked as obselete and archived, so it had me wondering if i’d missed an updated version or some new thing on the block?

Esp8266 hardware still a good bet. The Beuh code is very old, but I still use it due to the built in animations. Esphome is current.

Check WLED if you go esp8266:

It will be WiFi but there’s a platinum integration for it:

Thanks. I’ll have a good read upon WLED and esphome and grab an esp8266 module, seems to be the way!
Thanks, there is a lot written and a lot seemed old, so its nice to know where to “start” without wasting my time, this market and HA evolve fast!

You can give Flux LED/MagicLight a try, but support is rudimentary (you cant control each led separately, as far as i know)
