in my project i want to control 220 of the ws2812b leds.
When i look at the max ampere its 13.2 amps (60 x 220 : 1000).
What wire can i use to connect them without the risk of something going wrong.
It wont be drawing max current all the time ofcourse. Some googleing says 14AWG,
but wont this wire be to thick to solder on the chips?
I would gladly hear some advice from you!
Thank You.
Depends on how long the wire is. Voltage drop is proportional to length and inversely proportional to cross sectional area. Here are a couple of calculators to help:
its going to be a cube design, with 12 seperate sections of led.
These will be connected together, so the wire distance between the led strips is only 1-1.5 cm.
