When adding a new local storage drive on my Home-Assistant server, I can’t use it as a “storage” media for the Frigate Add-on, as it only support NFS or Samba Shares?
I’m aware I could potentially create a NFS Share/service on my home-assistant server, and add that new disk drive as a shared drive, but that would only introduce a network and file sharing component to what should not be necessary for actually
extending local storage. I added an additional drive to keep the Frigate media on, but can’t use it long, and even if I installed the NFS Server/Share and went along that route, it works for a couple hours/days, then the mount fails for some reason, and Frigate starts filling up the Base OS drive.
So, my WTH moment is why can’t we easily identify an new local drive as a “media” drive and plug it in to add-onsm, like its done with NFS shared drives?
