WTH - Adding your own custom icons?

I know there are a bunch of built in ones, but I’ve searched quite a few times for icons and not found ones specifically i have searched for.

I think you can add your own possibly, but it sounds like you have to create the SVG, then add them to the www folder? then create a Javascript file?

I would love to see a simple Icon uploader, a bit like in wordpress you can just click and upload media files to use. It would be great to be able to get icon files to use and upload them simply and they just expand your own HA library

WTH Why is it so hard to add home-made icons

mdi icons are great yet sometimes you really want to use a home-made custom icon, currently it’s not straightforward to add your own icon(s). It would be great if there was a way to add icons you designed eg in Inkscape through the UI. Update: the request is to be able to add a custom icon, not to design one in HA itself.
