I would love some level of access to the HA UI in my vehicle without having to use my phone.
not sure for android bu it gess this might be the same as with iOS
The apps provided for cars ares restricted to not distract the driver while driving. In no world would HA pass their tests.

Android Auto only supports two types of apps, Media (music player) and Messaging (Handled via app notifications)

The messaging method might be better then nothing, at least this way notification actions can pass through, It would also allow for images, and Reply (action)
