WTH are some links in the Docs not functional?

Some links are not functional, probably BC of naming or something. If I knew how to fix it, I would be glad to do the PR’s but I have no idea. It is many places as well.

Example, the Selector -Entity section Selectors - Home Assistant if I want to send someone the link to the filter section of entities selector it would copy out like this:
https://www.home-assistant.io/docs/blueprint/selectors/#filter

If I click that link, it goes to the first tag like that in the document and that is in the device section, not the entity section.

The links are the same, so it picks the first one. The links should be different.
Somehow the docs would need to be searched for duplicate links and have them differentiated. The Forum software does this by numbering the links as well as using the keyword in each link in each document.

notice the -6 at the end of this link… https://community.home-assistant.io/t/the-home-assistant-cookbook-index/707144#database-6

I don’t have a solution, but when using links to the DOCS to help people, this is a real problem. If I suspect the link may be a dup, I need to grab it, then test it myself to see if it gets where I want to take people.

The issue is here:

since all of them are called ‘filter’, ofc it will go to the first one.
If we rename it to filter_1, it would work, but the name in the form would be wrong…

I am also clueless on how to make them unique …

I brought this up a while ago, with a similar request for guidance. Where I ran into the issue was the template sensors docs because it makes it impossible to link any of the subsections within the Legacy style section. At the time I was told that it wasn’t really worth spending time on fixing because no one wanted to encourage using Legacy style anyway… But it has become an even bigger PITA recently because the bullshit engines seem to love Legacy style.
